Project overview

Fuzzy Sphere — Hair Particle System Study | Blender / Cycles

02

A fur-generation study built with Blender’s Hair Particle System. The base emission uses 7,147 parent hairs—0.58 m long with 7 segments—and is densified using Interpolated Children with a render amount of 3 to achieve a soft, voluminous silhouette.

Strand thickness is controlled through Hair Shape settings and Diameter Scale, with closed tips for clean tapering. The study was rendered in Cycles with GPU acceleration and denoising.

Key Techniques

  • Hair Particle System: parent hairs and Interpolated Children
  • Strand control: length, segments, diameter scaling, and closed tips
  • Cycles GPU rendering and denoising
